Abstract

The family is the first environment faced by babies when born in the
world. In the first family education took place. Parents automatically act as
educators, and children as learners. Parents have some obligations that they
have to do with their duties as educators. Parents as educators educate and
nurture children in various aspects of education, such as religious education,
social education, love, compassion, discipline, and so forth. Not all children
born in the world under normal circumstances. Sometimes there are some
children born in abnormal circumstances or called the term child with special
needs. For children with special needs, then parents certainly have more than
the role of a normal child. One type of child with special needs is a child who
has behavioral and emotional disorders. Because the family is the first
environment faced by children, it is important for parents to see the emotional
development of children to emotional disorders and prevention and handling.
